Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ContractBeam, a website available at https://contractbeam.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by NexarionFlux AI LLC ("we," "us," or "the operator"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are using the Service for business purposes (for example, to research government contracting and grant opportunities), not as a consumer for personal, household, or family use.
- You have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the business you represent.
If you do not meet these requirements, you may not use the Service.
2. What ContractBeam Is
ContractBeam is a free aggregator. It collects publicly available information about U.S. federal contracting and grant opportunities and presents it in one place so you can search, browse, save, and link out to the official source. Specifically, ContractBeam pulls information from:
- SAM.gov — federal contract solicitations
- Grants.gov — federal grants
- USASpending.gov — awarded contracts
ContractBeam also includes a small set of sample seed data. To personalize and rank what you see, ContractBeam records signals from your own activity on the Service and incorporates any business profile you choose to provide. The activity we record is described in Section 6 and in our Privacy Policy.
ContractBeam does not require an account, login, password, name, or email to use. We do not collect payment or financial information, precise geolocation, device fingerprints, or data from third-party advertising or cross-site tracking SDKs (we use only Vercel's cookieless analytics and an anonymous search log). Instead, the Service identifies your browser using an anonymous, randomly generated visitor id stored in a first-party cookie (tv); this id is pseudonymous and is not tied to your real-world identity. ContractBeam links you to the official government sources where the authoritative versions of these opportunities live. ContractBeam is a directory and a starting point — it is not the system of record.
3. No Affiliation With the Government
ContractBeam is an independent, private project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, including SAM.gov, Grants.gov, USASpending.gov, or any other federal, state, or local body. References to government agencies, programs, and opportunities are for identification and informational purposes only. Any contact names or contact emails shown on an opportunity are the public government points of contact published by the source — they are not contacts provided by us, and they are not visitor data.
4. Data Accuracy — No Warranty
This is important, so please read it carefully.
The information on ContractBeam is aggregated from third-party government sources and may be incomplete, out of date, mis-categorized, or simply wrong. Opportunities may have changed, closed, been amended, or been removed after we last retrieved them. Filters, facets (such as NAICS code, agency, set-aside, state, source, or opportunity type), deadlines, and summaries may not perfectly match the official record.
Always verify any opportunity on its official government source before you rely on it, prepare a response, or submit a bid or application. The official source — not ContractBeam — controls.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at any particular time or that any opportunity listed is genuine, open, or as described.
5. Acceptable Use
When you use the Service, you agree that you will not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service beyond what normal browsing allows, or in a way that exceeds or attempts to circumvent our rate limits. (We apply per-client rate limiting on certain actions, such as recording events and saving opportunities, using your IP address as the limiting key. As described in our Privacy Policy, this IP address is used in memory only for rate limiting and is not stored.)
- Place an unreasonable load on the Service or otherwise interfere with its normal operation.
- Attempt to break, probe, bypass, or defeat the security of the Service, or to gain unauthorized access to any system, data, or account.
- Tamper with, manipulate, or inject false activity or events to distort rankings, recommendations, or analytics.
- Harvest or use any government point-of-contact name or email address shown on an opportunity to send unsolicited marketing or solicitations. Those contacts are published by the government solely for responding to that specific opportunity.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
We may rate-limit, restrict, or block access (including by IP address) to protect the Service and other users.
6. Activity We Record, Your Saved Items, and Business Profile
To power search, personalization, ranking, recommendations, and funnel analytics, the Service records your activity as you use it. This includes events such as searches, impressions, opportunity views, saves and unsaves, dismissals, bid/apply link clicks ("bid_click"), filter changes, and profile updates, along with associated details such as a truncated copy of your query and the facets involved (for example, NAICS, agency, set-aside, state, source, and opportunity type). This activity is associated with your anonymous tv visitor id, not with your name or email.
The Service also lets you save opportunities and optionally fill in a business profile (such as your NAICS codes, set-asides, states, and keywords) to improve personalization. Your saved opportunities and profile are stored and linked to your tv visitor id. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit. Do not submit information you are not entitled to share.
We retain recorded activity, saved items, and business profiles indefinitely (saved items until you unsave them, and a profile until you overwrite it by updating it), unless we delete them sooner or you exercise a data right described in Section 12. The tv cookie itself lasts up to two years. Clearing the tv cookie severs the link between your browser and your saved items, profile, and recorded activity. How we handle all of this information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
Government data. The underlying opportunity data originates from U.S. government sources (SAM.gov, Grants.gov, USASpending.gov) and is generally in the public domain. We do not claim ownership of that underlying government information, and these Terms do not grant or restrict any rights you may otherwise have in public-domain government data.
The Service itself. The ContractBeam website, its design, layout, software, the particular selection, arrangement, and compilation of data, our personalization and ranking, and the "ContractBeam" name and branding are owned by the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works of the site, its compilation, or its branding without our permission, except as the law allows.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, CONTRACTS, BIDS, GRANTS, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR ANY RELIANCE ON ITS DATA, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
The Service is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service and these Terms will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your reliance on data obtained through the Service.
10. Your Privacy and Data Rights
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, the legal bases we rely on, how long we keep it, and the processors that handle it on our behalf (our hosting and edge provider, Vercel, and our database provider, Neon).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your information:
- If you are in the EU/EEA or UK (GDPR): rights to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16 — your business profile is directly editable), erasure (Art. 17), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). We process recorded activity, saved items, IP-based rate limiting, and similar data on the basis of our legitimate interests, and your voluntary business profile on the basis of your consent.
- If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, and correct the information associated with your visitor id, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information.
Because the Service has no accounts, there is no self-service deletion; erasure and most other requests are handled manually. The fastest way to break the link between your browser and your data is to clear the tv cookie. To exercise a right, contact us using the details in Section 12.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of Michigan will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
